Bouncing back on hard road by Adrian curry
I made the short road trip to Dublin scioto as I took in the scioto-Westerville south game. Both teams come in off tough losses to watterson and gahanna respectively. The winner would keep pace with undefeated Westerville north in the division. This game was dominated by the wildcats as they set the tone from the outset leading 18-8 after the first quarter. They shot well from the field led by their star sophomore guards Leila Jones and neila Guice. The wildcats continued their hot shooting and dictated the tempo stretching the lead to 15 at the half. Scioto attempted to make a run and get back in the game but the Irish had no answer for the inside game of Aja Austin and the outside shooting of the wildcats as they led 47-34 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter was more of the same dominate performance by the wildcats as they were able to stifle a good offense in Dublin scioto and able to get whatever they wanted on offense leading at one point by 22. The wildcats would go on to win 64-46. Star sophomore guards neila Guice and Leila Jones combined for 38 points on the night. With the win Westerville south improved to 8-2 and 5-1 in the occ-capital while Dublin scioto dropped to 5-4 and 3-3 in the occ-capital. Neila Guice led all scorers with 20 points while Ashleigh rothe led Dublin scioto with 16 points.
