Signing day by Adrian curry
I went to my first ever college signing on Wednesday at Westerville south. You always hear about how exciting it is to see your child sign to go to college next year and play a sport at the next level but there is nothing like seeing it first hand. Getting to follow gabby and anyssa play since 8th and 9th grade respectively and it’s been a pleasure. Now to see them sign to play hoops at your alma mater is something special. Seeing how happy Marla Melendez-jones was the entire ceremony and then seeing all the family for both of the girls there to support them as they take their next step in their athletic and academic career was such a joy for me. It was a moment that I will never forget. This makes the long aau road trips and hours upon hours in the gym pay off. Seeing posts on social media of all those that signed Wednesday and during the early signing period happy for them as they take the next step academically and athletically. A moment i will not soon forget.
