Westerville summer hoops by Adrian curry

On Tuesday night after work I went up to the opening night of Westerville summer league at Westerville north. There were some good teams up there including the host team Westerville north and Dublin Jerome. I was able to watch Westerville north for 2 games. I’m very high on Westerville north this season with the majority of their varsity roster coming back and with the additions of Leila Jones, emoji finch and savana gurr could be a darkhorse contender for the occ-buckeye. The games that I was able to watch they played well at times and had some typical June struggles as well. Definitely a very promising team coming up for next season. Also watched Dublin Jerome and they had some great moments but also some moments where they can improve. They will compete in a wide-open division along with Hilliard Darby and Thomas worthington. Overall the play was great and there will be opportunities to get better throughout the month. Next week’s play will include gahanna filling in for Westerville north as north participated in Shawnee state’s team camp.
